Substance Abuse Outpatient Program

We have experienced counselors ready to help you and your loved ones transition off drugs and alcohol.

Substance Abuse Program:

- Funding: Medi-Cal or MyHealthLA (as medically necessary).

- Private Pay: Cash payments on a sliding scale based on monthly income. Intake is $120.00 for enrollment, with additional fees for classes based on income.

MELA works with DCFS, Probation, Parole, and the Court System to help those in need of our services.

Open-Door Policy:

MELA welcomes any participant who needs a quiet, safe place. Our office offers books, TV, and a quiet area to rest. If you wish to see your counselor, we will do our best to arrange it.

Walk-ins Welcome During Testing Hours

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) can significantly impact businesses, making random employee testing a valuable tool for improving work performance and protecting the business.

The Business Connection at MELA is not a medical facility but provides efficient drug testing services for employers. With minimal waiting times, tests are conducted promptly, allowing employees to return to work quickly.

Our collectors are caring and sensitive to the needs of our customers and their employees. Random specimen collections are not observed unless requested by the employer, which may be required due to suspicious circumstances.

All collections are confidential, with documents securely stored and destroyed as required by law. Testing is conducted in a properly prepared setting, and collections are sent to the laboratory for timely results.
