We have experienced Counselors ready to help you and your loved one transition off drugs and alcohol.
Substance Abuse Program: Funding is through Medi-Cal, or MyHealthLA, (as medically necessary).
Private Pay (Cash) on a sliding scale basis with fees based on their monthly income.
MELA works with DCFS, Probation, Parole, and the Court System, to help those who need our services.
Cash patients: Intake is $120.00 for enrollment and classes in our Substance Abuse Program, and is charged on a sliding scale.
MELA has an Open-Door policy and any participant who wants to come to the office when they feel the need to come to a quiet safe place, is welcome. We have books to read, T.V. and a quiet place to rest for a while. If you want to see your counselor, we will try to arrange that for you.

MELA offers 10-week parenting classes. Our course is helping parents with various topics including Health Awareness, Effective Communication, How to talk to children, Helping children build healthy self-esteem, and Discipline between parent and child.
Intake enrollment is $50.00. Appointments are available Mon-Thurs at $20.00 per class with a total of 10 classes to complete. A certificate of completion is given at the end of the program upon successful participation.

MELA offers Domestic Violence classes for men's batterers groups and women's batterers groups. Workshops are held in English and Spanish. MELA works with the court system as well as probation and DCFS. The program is available to help those in need of domestic violence counseling services. MELA works closely with the Probation Department and the Department of Children and Family Services.
Our services are designed to help clients understand and redirect their behavior to a more positive way of dealing with the issues which brought them to the courts. MELA provides services for Victims as well as Perpetrators. Our Counselors are approved by both Court and L.A. County probation dept.
Intake enrollment is $50.00. Sessions are $20.00 per class. Appointments are available on Fridays for a total of 52 classes to complete, depending on the court order.
